Polished concrete does not use a coating; it's a process of chemically hardening and refining the concrete to increase strength and reduce porosity.

We do not put the rocks/flecks or colour in your floors, we refine, enhance and strengthen what is already there

To grind your concrete, we have 600kg grinders and 300kg vacuums, plus an array of small detailing tools for the edges and corners.

We work mostly dust-free. Our vacuums and air filtration systems allow us to work in a clean environment. Generally speaking, a broom makes more airborne dust than our work

What is polished Concrete?

This is an excellent question, because, in my experience, Polished Concrete means something different to whoever you speak to & loosely translates into a decorative surface that resembles concrete.

What Polished Concrete Really Is:

Polished Concrete is the process of mechanically and chemically refining and enhancing your concrete into a finished surface, which increases strength and stain resistance while refining the surface to a smooth glass texture at your desired gloss level.

This process turns the concrete into the finish rather than putting a "finish" on the concrete. Meaning there is nothing to scratch/peel or discolour, and the surface can be walked on as soon as it's finished with no risk.

"Real polished concrete does not use a "polish" or "topical sealer" which gives it a far superior abrasion resistance than coatings."

Polished Concrete styles & designs

Polished Concrete comes in a variety of styles that can be changed depending on the stage of your project and your style.

With polished concrete, we can't change the colour and have less control over the stone exposure once the concrete is poured.

Polished Concrete Gloss Types

Polished Concrete comes in a range of gloss levels, all have a reflection.

This is because our processes increase the density of the concrete, and denser surfaces have and hold more shine.

Larger spaces and areas with abundant natural light will produce the sharpest reflections. Larger spaces will also increase the perceived "sheen" of your Polished Concrete
smaller spaces and areas with low to no natural light will have little to no reflection, increasing the polishing process we finish on in these spaces will increase the depth of colour in the stone and cement
Higher gloss levels do not increase the slipperiness of your polished concrete.
Higher gloss polished concrete does not last longer or have more stain resistance it is the amount of densifier that does this

High Gloss - Polished Concrete

Clear reflections - larger spaces and areas with lots of natural light will have the sharpest reflections and the deepest colour of the stone & cement.
